BMW Ghost Immobiliser
The Ghost uses the CAN data bus to communicate with your vehicle. This stops thieves from replacing the ECU or installing an additional lock to circumvent the security system.
Unlike other immobilisers unlike other immobilisers, the Ghost does not use LEDs or key fobs. It relies on the buttons of your vehicle to allow you to enter a unique disarming sequence that only you know.
Stop & Start
If you've previously driven a BMW or utilized its stop-start feature, you might have noticed that the engine continues to run for a period of 30 seconds after you release the brake pedal. This is due to the BMW engine management system constantly monitoring your vehicle for signals from the ignition key, and when it is detected, it will keep running. The Autowatch 2 Ghost immobiliser prevents this from happening by stopping the car whenever you press a button.
Our BMW ghost immobiliser is an innovative next-generation device that does not require cutting OEM wires or installing an aftermarket alarms or key fobs. It is connected to the BMW CAN data network, and is programmed with a unique PIN code that can be accessed by buttons in your car. This lets you enter the key push sequence that isn't present in the standard media menus, such as volume up/down and cruise control, source or air conditioning on that prevents your car from starting unless it is entered. The PIN can range between 4 and 20 numbers and is therefore difficult for thieves to determine or break.
We can also add to the system a service/valet mode. This is activated while your car is being serviced so that the Ghost is kept from view by the garage. You can do this by pressing the service button five times on your infotainment system (the system will flash in confirmation) and the Ghost will automatically re-arm when you return.
Ghost immobilisers are highly recommended for top-of-the-line vehicles. It is completely undetectable, does not require the cutting of any original factory wires, and has the ability to disable your cars engine when an incorrect pin code is entered. Service Mode / Valet Mode
The Ghost is a top-of-the-line immobiliser designed to prevent your vehicle from being stolen by key cloning and hacking. It also lets you take the car to the garage for repairs, maintenance etc without having to worry about it being damaged or stolen by a mechanic while you are waiting.
If the service/valet mode has been enabled and enabled, your BMW will not be able to drive after it has been turned on. This prevents anyone else from attempting to drive it while you're away. When you return, it will be back to normal stopping your vehicle from being damaged or stolen once again.
We can install the Ghost to any BMW, all you need is the correct keys as the device doesn't use the original remotes, and can be used alongside them. Anti-Hijack
With high-tech thieves becoming more advanced, the security technology has to change, that's why Ghost has created this subtle and non-obtrusive immobiliser. ghost immobilizer 's designed to stop thieves from using a key or replacing the ECU to start your vehicle and drive it off. Ghost connects to your CAN network and uses buttons on your vehicle to create an unique push-sequence which must be entered before the engine can be started.
This will activate the anti-hijack mode and once active any attempt to start the engine will be blocked. The system will sharpen the horn and flash the indicators. It will also stall the vehicle in the event that the code cannot be found. The Anti-Hijack feature can be cancelled by entering your push sequence or by entering service mode which allows your vehicle to start and drive without having to enter your PIN.
If you own a GPS device that is connected to your BMW it is possible to utilize it to disable the Anti-Hijack function so that you can continue to navigate using your navigation system even when the vehicle is in a parking spot. You can also use your mobile phone to control the anti theft feature and other functions.

The system allows you to turn the car on, select drive and quit service mode without needing keys. You can also view your vehicle in real-time on a map on your smartphone, which is ideal for tracking your car when in motion.
The Ghost can be positioned under the dashboard or within the centre console, it is completely secure and untouchable and doesn't require any extra wiring. The device is connected to the vehicles CAN Data Network (similar to an Ethernet cable) and a personal PIN code is embedded into it. This pin code must be chosen before the vehicle starts. This stops thieves from gaining access to the system using an unauthorized clone or replacement ECU.
If the vehicle is taken away, the Ghost will go into service mode and shut down all functions unless you have the PIN code or can use the mobile application to disarm it. This feature was created to protect your vehicle from thieves using high-tech devices who use relay boxes to steal it. It also stops thieves from using their mobile phones to activate your sat nav system or mp3 player to locate your car!
Ghost can also prevent "Relay-style Frequency Amplification". This is the most common method of stealing a car with a keyfob that's been duplicated or stolen through hacking. Ghost allows you to stop this by installing an anti-theft device in your vehicle that is called Secure-A Key. The device is installed in the key fob of your vehicle and disconnects its battery after a few inactive minutes. This can be accomplished with most modern PKE keys.
